Register for Spring classes starting December 1! The Department of Continuing Education offers growth opportunities through a full-range of affordable, non-credit, short-term certificates, personal and professional courses, occupational training programs, and workshops designed to upgrade or provide job skills, improve basic academic skills, or create career possibilities. Special interest courses and programs are offered for children and adults. Classes are offered during the day, evenings, and on weekends to provide convenient access to learning for everyone. Office hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Build Your Own "Super" Computer!
Have you ever wondered why your geek friend has an extremely fast computer? Chances are that he built it himself. Learn which components to purchase for a great computer: the best processors, best video cards, best motherboards, best memory, best hard drives, etc. The instructor will build a computer during class so you will learn first hand the pitfalls of computer building. A minimum of 10 students are required to hold the class, so please refer friends who are interested. The cost is $129. Check the class schedule for dates and times.

New! HIPPA and OSHA Regulations for the Medical Professional
Whether you work behind the scenes in health care administration or provide direct patient care, this training will provide the rules and regulations of HIPPA and OSHA that govern medical care and treatment. Knit something warm and cozy!
Create something beautiful! Learn the basics of knitting and gain confidence by finishing at least one project from start to finish with the help of the instructor. Your project could be a beautiful scarf, baby booties, or a unique shawl. A materials list will be distributed the first day of class. Learn American Sign Language!
Learn American Sign Language from an experienced professional interpreter. You will learn basic skills for communicating with the deaf or hard of hearing, including the hand alphabet, gestures, and syntax. Adults and students age 16 and over may register. Learn the Art of Upholstery!
Do you have a piece of furniture you have been wanting to reupholster? Now is the time! Discover how furniture is made and learn the techniques of double welting and spring replacement in this 10-session hands-on course. For over 30 years, Javier Miranda has been teaching the art of upholstery. He will share his love for making an old piece of furniture look new. Fabric samples and nail selection will also be discussed. You can work on your own personal piece in class. Class meets from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, October 29 to December 17. Fee $149.
