The Child Development Lab School curriculum is primarily based on children's play and their own inventions. We promote expression through many different forms and materials. In our classrooms, children are encouraged to develop their own ideas through exploring and experimenting with:

  • Reading books, writing and printing with a variety of materials
  • Painting and drawing
  • Sculpting with clay and other forms
  • Exploring the natural environment both in the city and during field trips
  • Exploring the physical world through building with many different materials
  • Working with child appropriate computer programs
  • Experiencing their world through physical activities and movement
  • Developing social habits that promote a respect for diversity and friendship

In addition, children are introduced to the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs Anti-bias Curriculum. All of our classrooms are bilingual (Spanish) and we welcome children with special needs.
