Welcome to the Department of Adult Education

Welcome to the Adult Education Program!

Truman College Adult Education is a comprehensive program of free classes for adult students who need to learn or improve their English language or basic literacy skills, obtain a GED certificate, or prepare for the Citizenship exam. We offer daytime, evening and weekend classes at the Truman College campus, at about 11 off-campus sites, and at the Lakeview Learning Center.

Fall classes begin August 31. Pre-registration starts July 29.

Our hours are Mon-Thurs: 8:30 am-9pm, Fri: 9am-3pm, and Sat: 9am-12:30pm.

In accordance with the Stevens Amendment, 23% of the Truman Adult Education Program budget comes from federal funds.
