Truman DePaul Bridge Program

Truman College and DePaul University's School for New Learning offer a unique learning experience that couples Truman and DePaul resources, offers students an opportunity to experience the university environment at their own pace, and helps adult students transition smoothly to DePaul University.

School for New Learning (SNL)

A Truman student's transition from college to the university is made much easier with thanks to a 1991 alliance made between Truman and DePaul University's School for New Learning (SNL). SNL is a non-traditional flexible bachelor's degree program geared to adult learners 24 and over.

Students may accelerate the time it takes to earn a bachelor's degree by transferring college credits and documenting life and work experiences that relate to SNL's learning competency system.

Faculties from both schools teach courses attended by both Truman and DePaul students. Recently added is a Careers in Teaching Multicultural Education program with the School of Education.

The ACCESS Center

Students can use The ACCESS Center (Adult Commuter Evening Student Services Student Center) located in the DePaul Center, room 11017. It's a meeting place, student study center, & resource center for events and student services.

At the ACCESS Center, students can find information about the Writing Center, the Women's Center, Adult Admissions and ID Services. There are also tips for students on note taking, test taking, reading and writing. The ACCESS Center also provides self-help workshops and seminars. Once Truman students cross the Bridge, the ACCESS Center is a great place from which to start navigating DePaul University.
