The Associate in Applied Science Degree (A.A.S.)

These courses fulfill the Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) Degree. For more details and assistance with choosing courses in your concentration, meet with your college advisor or a member of the faculty.

A grade of "C" or better is required for classes to count toward the Associate degree.

Communications: (3-6 hours)

English 101, 105, 107
Speech 104

Humanities/Social Science (3 hours)

Choose a course emphasizing the individual in relation to the social and cultural environment from one of the following disciplines:

Anthropology Literature
Architecture Music
Economics  Philosophy
Fine Art  Political Science
Foreign Language  Psychology
Geography Social Science
History  Sociology
Humanities  Theater

Physical & Life Science: (3 hours)

Choose a course in the biological or physical science which emphasizes the individual in relation to the natural or physical environment from one of the following disciplines:

Astronomy  Microbiology
Biology  Physical Science
Botany  Physics
Chemistry  Zoology
Geology  

Consumer Education (3 hours)

Accounting  Computer Information Systems
Applied Math  Consumer Electronics
Business Writing  Finance
Child Development  Nutrition

General Education (3 hours)

One additional course from the Communications, Humanities, Science, or Consumer sections listed above.
